3 months old

Elsie is actually 4 months old now, but my friend took these really darling pictures a month ago.

If only those fingers would make it into her mouth when she is screaming in her crib!

The Brother of Jared

So the other night we read the story of the Brother of Jared in the scriptures. We've taken to having the kids draw what they hear in the stories so they can work on listening and comprehension skills. At the end of the story we have them show their drawings and tell us about them. In Eleyna's picture she drew the Brother of Jared himself, the 16 stones that he fashioned and the cloud out of which he saw the finger of Christ extend and touch the stones. We thought it was extra creative of her to poke a hole through it with her own finger and bring the story to life! So here's a picture of her showing us how it works. Not bad for a 5 year old eh?

Random Pictures

So, obviously I've been really bad at blogging lately. Here's a quick update on our lives:
Evelyn is crazy into jump roping lately. She also loves holding Elsie and is a really big help. I don't know how I'd survive without her. One day she held Elsie for an hour and then did the laundry afterward.
Eleyna has a newfound interest in reading and is doing really well at it. She loves to scare Elsie and make her cry by randomly jumping in her face and making crazy noises.
Eli is obsessed with Mario Kart Wii and begs to play all of the time. He even bribes me with treats if I'll let him play.
Elsie learned to roll over from her back to her tummy this week and tonight she just rolled from her tummy to her back. She also is interested with toys now which is nice for me since she'll play by herself for awhile.

Easter!

Eleyna went to a birthday party where they went and got their fingernails painted and their hair done up. She felt like a princess.

Crazy kids in the tub!
During the Olympics, we had our own family Olympics. This is the family flag we made to use in our opening ceremonies before the games began.

Spring Break

When it finally stopped snowing, we had a great time for Spring Break. We drove up north about 30 miles 3 days in a row, so everybody except Elsie had a great time. She HATES the carseat and screamed for every trip. These are pictures from a really fun park we went to for the first time.

Two Months Old

Evelyn made this necklace to give to Elsie at the hospital when she was born.

Happy Birthday, Eleyna!

We went to Red Robin for lunch on Eleyna's Birthday.
She's 5!!! and all ready for kindergarten next year.
