I am a mother of 3 sweet little kids - a 1 year old boy, a 3-year old girl, and a 5-year old girl:
The Perfect Chord
(Get it? 1-3-5.... a chord?)
Our family is finally in perfect harmony... for a little bit, anyway.
I made this shoe rack this past week and am so excited to finally not have them all stuffed somewhere in the closet. Maybe now Eleyna will be able to find more than one of every pair of shoes she owns. Maybe.
My mom took Evelyn and Eleyna to visit my sister, so Eli was left alone. (Well, with Elsie, too, but she doesn't count.) We put up the tent for him in the front room and even got a babysitter for Elsie while we went out to ice cream and to a movie. Spoiled kid.
My grandparents came to visit!
'Smores party!
Cute girl!
Elsie likes to raise her arm like this to say hi and play.
Eli made this cute eagle at preschool. I'm switching off teaching preschool with 5 other moms.
The weekend before school started, we decided to take our first "just us" camping trip about 5 minutes away from our house near the canyon. We had a great night making tin foil dinners, playing at the park, and roasting marshmallows. When the sun went down, the wind picked up, and oh, boy, what a night! I finally left with Elsie at 2 in the morning because the wind was so noisy she wasn't sleeping well. One side of the tent blew down right after I left, and Jake called at 7 to come rescue them from the wind.
Evelyn is such a great big sister. How many kids do you know that get the baby up, change her diaper, get her dressed, and play with her all before you get out of bed in the morning?
