Confessions

  • I only do two loads of laundry, light and dark. Why do an extra load for whites? Just don't tell my mom or my mother-in-law!

  • I only dust when I just can't stand it any longer. If I let that feeling pass, it can usually wait another few months.

  • Washing windows... You mean people actually do that?

  • Sometimes I don't file papers until there's no room left on my desk for anymore.

  • After I cook, every cupboard ends up open. It's this problem I have. Don't worry, my mom knows about that.

If my house is clean, it's probably because I lost something.
Just so you feel better, I do the dishes and clean the toilet almost always.

Believe me, I already knew both of those things. :)

It's nice to hear confessions from other moms. I definitely let some things slide. My fridge could really stand to be wiped out right now, but I'll see if I get around to it...

Well, because of those confessions I will let you come over to my house at any time. You will probably see dirty dishes in my sink and way too many papers lying around, but oh well, right?

I hope no one reads my previous comment and thinks i am saying that your confessions are gross stacy. Really they seem quite normal. I meant the teeth and toenails.

If we started on my confessions, you'd probably call CPS on me. Not because I'm a horrible mother; I think if CPS knew any of us as mothers at our least perfect moments they might swipe our kids away, but the truth is, our kids are very forgiving and we grow with them and learn how to become better parents.

My confession for tonight is that I'm mad at the world, and everybody is stupid (not you Stacy, of course, you are a sunshine spot among a few friends that I truly trust). I don't like feeling that way, but sometimes I just want to scream at everyone to grow up and be nice and be remotely sensitive to each other. (Clearly, screaming would not be nice, and feeling hypocritical only adds complexity to the issue)

that makes me giggle, I think that anyone who leaves all the cupboards open is AWESOME, despite what my husband may say...
