Tis the season...

for sewing!!!
Something about October always makes me want to sew. (and that's about the only time of year I do, just so you know.) Usually I sew Halloween costumes, but this year I've been busy making Christmas presents and using up fabric that's been sitting around for years and years.
First I made some pants for Eli and Eleyna with some fabric I already had to fit their skinny little bottoms. They aren't very thrilling or adorable, but at least they don't fall down all the time.

I also made dresses for the girls because I've had this beautiful pink sheer sequiny fabric lying around for a long time. They're not as cute (and just as expensive) as the holiday dresses that Costco carries, but they'll work, even if they are very PINK!

I'm going to give them to the kids inside these bags that I learned how to make at a Relief Society enrichment. (The one on the left is for me.) Evelyn helped me pick out the fabric for her and Eleyna, but I haven't showed her the finished product yet.



Eli loves to help me cook so I made him this apron out of some doggy fabric that he picked out at the store. He LOVED the fabric; hopefully he'll love the apron.



And finally, here are some pillowcases I made at a Relief Society Super Saturday with fabric that Eleyna helped me pick out.



Yesterday Evelyn got bored and "we" made her a skirt from a super-easy pattern I found here. Boy, did that ever take patience!! I'll probably make one for Eleyna, and I plan on making a super hero cape for Eli so he doesn't ask to wear the girls' princess dresses.

I wonder what I'll sew next October!
