Halloween Part III: Costumes

Halloween is usually a big deal for all of us and we all get dressed up, but this year I just couldn't get into dressing up. We were recycling costumes so Eleyna was supposed to be a purple care bear, and Eli was supposed to be a puppy, but they didn't cooperate. Eleyna just wore whatever she picked out of her dress up box at the moment. My friend saved the day and Eli ended up being a pirate - with a Jack Sparrow hat, belt, cardboard sword and whatever he happened to be wearing at the time.

Eleyna was in love with her kitty cat pumpkin. She wanted to carry it everywhere and would have taken it to bed if we let her.

Isn't this the cutest pirate you've ever seen?

Evelyn carved her pumpkin almost by herself. It was the first time any of our kids have been brave enough to even touch the inside of a pumpkin.

Sword fight!

The weather was perfect for trick or treating! Considering it snowed the day before, it was warm and sunny. Still, Eli and Eleyna only lasted about 10 minutes. After that, they didn't even get out of the stroller to trick or treat. "I don't want any more candy," Eleyna told us.

We are chuckling here about who will win the sword fight? Perhaps one person has a slight advantage.
