painting eggs was the absolute highlight of my easter when i was a kid. the non-colored crayon you get to use, the different color dyes, the wonderful smell of vinegar and styling each egg with a unique design. and then of course, never eating the eggs (i imagine mom took at least one to work everyday for weeks).
