Oh, What a Beautiful Morning

So I was going to write this yesterday, since it was a pretty hard morning, but this morning tops it off. The night before last, our sweet little babysitter didn't change Eli's diaper before bed, so he woke up at 6:00 soaking wet in his bed and didn't go back to sleep. (He usually sleeps until 7:30.) Then we had to wash his blanket, making it a very long and whiny morning.

Eli's Blanket Gets Washed:

Hooray, it's clean!

Then this morning I decided to make the girls clean their room since it got to the point of there hardly being any clean floor to walk on. So we spent an hour of "No, no, no." and "I'm not going to clean my room, hmmmm..." (The "hmmmm" is a very unpleasant, whiny, defiant little sound that comes out of two sweet little mouths way too often.) Finally Evelyn cleaned half, and after Eleyna threw a few fits, she finally yelled, "FINE! I'M JUST GOING TO CLEAN MY ROOM THEN!" and finished cleaning it up in 5 minutes. The morning went on with all three kids maxing out their whininess, disobedient factor, topped off by a terrible screaming and hitting fit by Evelyn, including "I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE A MOTHER OR A DAD AND COULD MAKE MY OWN CHOICES!" I am now sitting at my computer regaining my sanity while Evelyn is in her room, Eli is sleeping, and Eleyna is watching a movie.
Someday I'll look back on this and laugh.
Someday.

Boy, does that ever sound familiar! Blogging about it helps a little, though, right? It's fun to read about your family.

Someday, someday we'll laugh about it, because the alternative is to cry!
